Don't Miss a Beat: ESC Congress 22 Recap

Podcast

As more and more medical organizations return to featuring an in-person format for their annual meetings, anticipation for each field’s flagship meetings grew. For cardiology, this was European Society of Cardiology’s Congress 2022, which was the organization’s first meeting with an in-person component since 2019. Combine this excitement with plans to debut both phase 3 and pragmatic trial data in late-breaking sessions, and the result is a meeting with more than 30,000 participants representing more than 80 countries throughout the world.

In this episode of Don’t Miss a Beat, hosts Stephen Greene, MD, assistant professor of medicine at the Duke University School of Medicine, and Muthiah Vaduganathan, MD, MPH cardiologist at Brigham and Women's Hospital, provide a recap of the meeting. This recap begins with a discussion on the results of the DELIVER trial, which Vaduganathan served on as an investigator, the ADVOR trial, and REVIVED.

As a reminder, all episodes of Don’t Miss a Beat are available in an audio-only format on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
